Code Blue at Mad River Community Hospital

HBRSC staff brought iStan, a high fidelity manikin, to Mad River Community Hospital (MRCH) to perform mock Code Blue drills for Day and Night shift nursing, medical and ancillary staff. iStan, an "orienting" Plant Operations employee was found down in the Lobby of the hospital following a fall off a ladder. Houskeeping and Plant Operations staff recognized the medical emergency, activated the hospital's emergency response system and iStan was revived and transported to the Emergency Department for intubation and pacemaking. Congratulations to MRCH staff for completing two successful high risk, low volume scenarios!
